About Us

Thomas F. Richardson, Jr., founder of Marian Research, holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Chicago and a master of business administration from Cornell. Mr. Richardson began his own engineering consulting company in the late 1960s.  Even while building this business, he pursued acoustic perfection through the exploration of high-end audio equipment.  After he sold his company at the age of 48, he was finally able to realize his dream of creating even better high-end audio equipment than other companies were producing.  With his business experience and passion for audio, he teamed with design experts to make this dream reality.  Recently, he has been working with Graham J. Hardy to develop new audio components with a heavy reliance on electron tubes.

Cynthia V. Bradley, Director of Business Operations, hails from Southern California, with a stint in Tennessee to attend the University of the South. She has extensive experience with business operations, having consulted with a number of service and professional businesses. She studied flute, trumpet and French horn through her college years. When she first heard Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony piped through the Marian Research monoblocks, she realized that she had never really heard it before.

Dr Graham J. Hardy, Design Engineer & Engineering Manager, grew up in London, England. He received his bachelor of science degree from Bristol University and his doctor of philosophy from Oxford University. He has worked in the electronics and electrical engineering fields in the United States for almost twenty years. There is an interview with Graham at the Electrical Fun website: click here

Helen Cornwell, Director of Marketing, received her bachelor of science degree in sociology from UCLA, and she continued to expand her skill-set with a professional designation in marketing from UCLA extension. She brings more than ten years of professional experience in marketing to Marian Research.  She grew up using a Discman and moved to an MP3 player when that technology arrived, but as soon as she was introduced to high-end audio, she immediately converted.  “There’s no comparison.  I had no idea what I was missing,” she explains.

Sri Panjit, Research & Design Engineer, freely admits that he is in his second “five year plan” at Caltech, but he believes firmly that his years with Marian Research are providing him with just as much of an education as any coursework.  He has always been fascinated by how things work, and how he could make them work better.  From his first Electrical Engineering class at Caltech, where the students had to create a digital clock, he has been hooked on making electronic devices.
