THE RESEARCH:
The debut of Marian Research’s next generation Digital Processor is the culmination of more than ten years of engineering development.
We analyzed the
critical mathematical methods used for rational waveform construction, and
we formulated new algorithms with software designed to run on a specialized
DSP platform. Our goal was to optimize the time domain (transient)
characteristics to resolve greater detail in the music, and this could not
be realized with an off-the-shelf digital filter.
THE RESULT:
An experienced listener remarked, "this is in a class by itself". Marian Research's new Digital Processor achieves a heightened level of performance in the reproduction of detail and dynamics. Now, vocal lyrics of striking clarity are extracted from previously indistinct passages in the songs you thought you knew! A more spacious soundstage with atmosphere and
ambience gives you a palpable experience of the music in a real space.
